Maximiliano Nielsen — Rosario, Argentina

Software that moves money.

I'm Maximiliano Nielsen, software engineer. I design and build the trading, payments and banking systems behind an Argentine fintech — and the infrastructure they run on. Co-founder & CTO of Hansen Labs.

About

I'm a software engineer at LB Finanzas, an Argentine fintech, where I lead the business product line. Most of my work is backend: trading systems, payment flows, and the connectors that link the platform to banks, clearing houses and custody providers.

I also operate part of the platform itself — Kubernetes clusters, networking and CI/CD — so the services I design are services I also have to run.

I'm particularly drawn to distributed systems, event-driven and asynchronous patterns, and infrastructure. I'm completing a Computer Science degree at Universidad Nacional de Rosario, and I co-founded Hansen Labs, where we built Coliseo, the membership and access platform of Club Atlético Newell's Old Boys.

Tech Lead, Business Products — joined as Jr. DevOps

Argentine fintech: trading, payments and fund management across crypto and traditional rails.

  • Technical lead of the business product line — the APIs that let companies and introducing brokers operate on the platform: architecture, API design and delivery coordination.
  • Design, build and operate banking connectors: US rails (ACH and wire transfers) and Argentine rails (CBU/CVU transfers over COELSA), plus Fireblocks for crypto custody.
  • Trading systems: order execution and swaps against external liquidity providers, and the routing of securities orders to US and Argentine markets.
  • Backend development on the payments services: deposit and withdrawal flows over fiat and crypto rails.
  • Operate three Kubernetes clusters and part of the platform's networking: ingress (Emissary/Envoy) and Netbird mesh VPN.
  • Maintain the build and deploy platform for the ~47 services: centralized base images, CI templates and GitLab CI + ArgoCD pipelines.

Hansen Labs

Co-founder & CTO

We build Coliseo: memberships, payments and access control for Club Atlético Newell's Old Boys.

  • We took the product from zero to production in five months: memberships, billing, checkout and stadium access, live for one of Argentina's biggest football clubs.
  • Responsible for payments — installment billing and Mobbex checkout — and for the platform's deployment on Google Cloud, with Supabase as the database.
  • Built as a team: TypeScript monorepo, back-office, ticketing and NFC access verification at the stadium gates.
